Dr. Franco Ugidos is an Attending Physician at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid, where he carries out his clinical activity with more than two decades of experience in clinical gastroenterology. His university education at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid was complemented by specialized stays at leading American institutions: the University of California, Berkeley and Duke University.
His primary areas of focus are general gastroenterology, digestive endoscopy and, most notably, the prevention of digestive cancer, with a special emphasis on hereditary and familial cancer. He is a University Expert in Advanced Digestive Endoscopy by the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy and holds specific accreditation as an Expert in High-Risk Consultations for Digestive Tumors.
At ICAdig, Dr. Franco also provides a distinct perspective as a specialist in the implementation of medical quality programs, ensuring that the clinical processes of the Instituto Clínico del Aparato Digestivo meet the highest standards of care. He provides consultations in Spanish and English.
