– About Me

Scientific rigor with a more human touch.

Dr. Marín Gabriel is an Attending Physician in the Gastroenterology Department at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital in Madrid and an Associate Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he teaches Gastroenterology within Medical Pathology and supervises doctoral theses and undergraduate dissertations.

His area of expertise is advanced therapeutic endoscopy: endoscopic resection of colorectal lesions (EMR/UEMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) —with specialized training at Kobe Hospital, Japan, supported by an ISCIII fellowship— peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), optical diagnosis with chromoendoscopy and NBI, esophageal stenting, and direct peroral cholangioscopy. He is also an international trainer in these advanced endoscopic techniques.

At ICAdig, Dr. Marín Gabriel focuses specifically on high-risk consultations: hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, personalized screening, polyposis, and early-stage neoplasms. In his daily clinical practice, a significant portion of his patients consult for functional pathology, neurogastroenterology, and motility.

His career includes participation in the World Gastroenterology Organization and leadership roles in the Spanish Gastroenterology Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors as Vice President.

"Truly personalized care begins by listening to the person seeking help and establishing a relationship of mutual trust, without which it is impossible to achieve the desired clinical outcomes. Focusing on the details and maintaining scientific rigor are two fundamental elements that define my vision of medicine."

– Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

When should I see a digestive specialist?
If you experience symptoms such as frequent heartburn, abdominal pain, heavy digestion, persistent diarrhea or constipation, changes in bowel habits, difficulty swallowing, or blood in the stool, it is advisable to consult a specialist for an accurate evaluation. Do not wait for symptoms to become chronic.
The video consultation has an identical structure to an in-person visit for everything that does not require a physical examination. It is especially useful for follow-ups, reviewing test results, and second opinions. For an initial assessment where a physical examination is necessary, we recommend an in-person consultation.
ICAdig does not work directly with insurance companies, which allows us to dedicate the necessary time to each consultation. If you have a reimbursement policy, we issue detailed invoices valid for recovering the full or partial amount of the consultation fee.
Endoscopic procedures are performed at HM Sanchinarro Hospital, with all the necessary technical and safety guarantees. The initial consultation and assessment take place at our center at C/ Juan Bravo 10.
